Another perfect day for a trek from Attical to Eagle via Windy Gap. 8.5Km and 500m ascent.

It was a bit wet underfoot on the ascent up to the col between Tornamrock and Rocky and windy at the summit but well worth the climb.

Giant's Ring

Another perfect day for a walk along the Lagan towpath to the Giant's Ring.

Hen Track and Rocky

It was another perfect day in the hills on 18 November 2021 with a large group of Cedars Walkers setting out from Hen Track car park, some having already walked from Leitrim Lodge. Most walkers chose to walk up to the top of Hen Track and back but John's group crossed the Rowen Tree and Rocky Rivers and climbed up to the col between Rocky and Tornamrock before making their ascent to the windy summit of Rocky itself for lunch - a total of 7 Km and 330 metres ascent - or 9.5 Km and two bonus points for those who walked the Sandbank Road between the two car parks. Well done all.

Carlingford Greenway

It was another perfect day at Carlingford for keeping out of the clouds, walking through the forest for lunch and back along the Greenway to our cars. 9.5Km and 300 metres ascent. A damp time was had by all but it was great to be out in the fresh air enjoying the autumnal colours, walking and having fun together.

Gosford fundraiser

Another perfect day for walking at Gosford. Gordon's walk round the perimeter of the forest was 6.4 Km (5 miles) with an ascent of over 100 metres! The leaders would like to thank those who organised, helped and supported this annual fundraiser event for Motor Neurone Disease and Leukaemia research. The generosity of our members has raised just over £900 and there may be a little more to come.
