Another perfect day

Lower Cove and Blue Lough

Another perfect day in the mountains on 30 September 2021 - 13 walkers, led by John and Herbie, climbed up to Lower Cove before deciding against an ascent of Lamagan because of low cloud and poor visibility. The rivers, and even some of the tracks, were raging torrents, but the day and our feet remained mostly dry. Returning round Blue Lough nine walkers clocked up 11.2Km (about 7 miles) and 390 metre ascent although four extended their walk by climbing up to Binnian Lough adding 1Km to thier walk and 120 metres to their ascent. While back in County Armagh Ruth and Reuben led their group round Loughgall Country Park with hardly a drop of rain to be seen.
A great day was had by all.

Banns Road to Ott Track

Starting at the Equestrian Centre, Gordon led his group of 14 up Banns Road, past Lough Shannagh and down the Ott Track - 9 Km and 390 metres ascent.

Road or River?
Cove

It was hard to tell if the road up to the Blue Lough was road or river on 30 September such had been to downpour the previous evening!

Tollymore and Lukes Mountain

Despite a rather bleak forecast it, of course, turned out to be another perfect day for walking at Tollymore on 09 September with the ascent of Lukes Mountain thrown in for good measure.
11.3Km and 544m ascent - good practice for the residential. More pics to follow.
