On 27th August there were walks at Loughgall Country Park, at Rourke's Parks (pictured above) and from Leitrim Lodge. Despite some heavy rain in the previous days conditions under-foot were not nearly as bad as had been feared and apart from on the summit of Rocky it was mostly dry so it turned out to be another perfect day for walking.
John enjoying a rest after getting to the summit of Slievenaglough via the Annaloughan Loop, a new walk from Fitzpatricks in County Louth for the Cedars programme. Thanks to Dorothy for discovering this walk. Click on link below for more pics.

Walking together, keeping apart. Reuben led a group of sixteen Cedars walkers in the Silent Valley - only ten made it as far as Ben Crom dam but everyone had an enjoyable and socially distanced day out.

It was another perfect day for walking on 20th August - Tollymore offered protection from storm Ellen's high winds and we even saw the sun occasionally. Best of all we managed to fit in two great walks before lunchtime when the torrential rain started. Thr Shimna River was covering the stepping stones and some of us returned to the carpark a tad damp but it didn't spoil a great day out. Well done to all who turned up and special thanks to walk leaders and to Harry and Maureen for pics.
Ronnie and John led Cedars hill walkers up to the summits of Eagle Mountain and Shanlieve from Leitrim Lodge - it was a hot day and a tough climb with the resident midges on a feeding frenzy. Despite all that we all managed to have a great day out. Special thanks to Yvonne for some great pics (see above). Click on the link below for more pics of the walk.
Ronnie and John led Cedars hill walkers up to the summit of Slieve Foye and beyond taking different routes. It had started out and it ended as a perfect day for walking. In the middle section it was cold, windy and rather damp thanks to the clouds at our feet but we didn't let it spoil another great day out in the Cooley Mountains.
