Carnavaddy [Carn an Mhadaidh: cairn of the dog]

Another perfect day for walking from Lumpers to Carnavaddy and, for Ronnie's group, on to Black Mountain. Visibility was poor at the summit of Carnavaddy but that didn't stop the two groups meeting up and enjoying lunch together (socially distanced) and ViewRanger ensured that we got down safely by the most direct route.

Click HERE to see the route followed by John's group with thanks to Dorothy for the data. We followed the route going in a clockwise direction from Lumpers passing Carrahane AKA (on the Irish OS map) Carrabane - which may explain why John was confused into thinking we had been transported to the carribean - although the mist on the summit of Carnavaddy persuaded him otherwise.
