Directions to Colin Glen, Stewartstown Road, Belfast

Colin Glen

Option I:

  • Take the M1 towards Belfast and exit at Junction 6 signed Saintfield (A49) / Lisburn (City Centre)
  • At traffic lights at end of slip road turn left towards Lisburn city centre and at end of road, just over Lagan bridge, follow the signs to Belfast - you're turning right but you have to turn left first so keep in right hand lane. Drive past the Lisburn's Island Centre (on your right) and turn right on to the Belfast Road (A1).
  • Passing Wallace Park on your left you, take the second exit on mini roundabout (right fork) in direction of Belfast/Dunmurry.
  • Continue on this road past Hilden and Lambeg railway stations and take first exit at roundabout - the A512 signed Belfast (M1), Milltown, Suffolk and Colin Glen Country Park!
  • At "T" junction traffic lights take right, still on the A512 and at next roundabout take the first exit (Stewartstown Road / B102) - signed Lagmore, Twinbrook and Poleglass.
  • At the next roundabout take the third exit (still the B102) signed Belfast and Colin Glen Country Park.
  • Colin Glen Forest Park is a few hundred yards further on your left hand side. Park in the car park and await further instructions.

Option II (less complicated but a longer drive):

  • Take the M1 towards Belfast.
  • Exit at Junction 2 (Outer Ring/Kings Hall/Newtownards).
  • Take the 1st exit/left at the roundabout onto Kennedy Way/A55.
  • At the Andersonstown Road roundabout, take the 1st exit/left onto Andersonstown Road.
  • Continue onto Stewartstown Road.
  • Colin Glen Forest Park Centre will be on the right.

Option III:

  • Take the M1 towards Belfast
  • Exit at Junction 2 (Outer Ring/Kings Hall/Newtownards).
  • Go round the roundabout at bottom of slip road and rejoing the M1 southbound.
  • Exit at Junction 3 (Dunmurry/Finaghy)
  • At bottom of slip road turn right on to Blacks Road
  • At top of Blacks Road turn left on to Stewartstown Road
  • Colin Glen is on your right

You could always cheat by keying Colin Glen's post code - BT17 0HW - into your SatNav. But that wouldn't be nearly as much fun.
