On Thursday if you’re on the coach, pick up is at Portadown Rugby Club at 9:15am, Jethro Centre at 9:30am and College Walk at 9:40am. If you’re parking your car at Portadown Rugby Club please use the lower car park only. If you’re not at pickup points at stated time we’ll assume you’re not coming.
We will meet at Bushfoot Golf Club on Bushfoot Road, Portballintrae for a briefing at 11:11am and return there after our walks for a well earned meal.
The longest of the walks on offer will start at Larrybane Bay near Carrick-a-rede and return via Ballintoy Harbour, White Park Bay, Dunseverick Castle and Benbane Head finishing at the Giant’s Causeway Visitors’ Centre - or, if you’re a glutton for punishment, you can walk the extra couple of kilometres back to the golf club! Low tide will be around 12:30pm, coinciding with our walk across White Park Bay. How’s that for planning!
A second slightly more sedate walk will start at Dunseverick Castle and walk back to the Giant’s Causeway or golf club.
The bus will be parked at Dunseverick Castle to pick up anyone who starts the big walk (along White Park Bay) and then decides to take it a bit easier!
A third walk will start at the golf club and walk to the Giant’s Causeway.
