Drive to Banbridge and turn left at the Crozier Monument on to the A50 towards Newcastle. In Castlewellan continue on the Newcastle Road/A50, turning right at the roundabout as you enter the Upper Square. After 2 miles turn right on to Ballyhafry Road/B180 and after 0.7 miles turn left on to the Bryansford Road/B180, signed to Newcastle and Tollymore Forest Park After half a mile turn right into Tollymore and continue to the end of the road turning left past the forestry hut to enter the car park.
Return Leg
On exiting Tollymore, turn right and continue on this road until you come to the main Castlewellan/Newcastle Road. Then turn left and retrace your steps back home through Castlewellan.
