Another perfect day

Another perfect day for our walk from Kinnego Marina round Oxford Island. The BBC weather app got it just right - high winds and heavy rain stopped at 10.00am to give us a super walking day with a sunny finish right beside the café at the marina.

Lumpers

Another perfect day from Lumpers for a walk into the Cooley Mountains. A delayed start paid off as it was sunshine all the way, almost. Top marks to Ronnie B..

Banns Road to Slieve Muck

Another perfect day in the mountains. Great walk lead by John O/ and great pics from Paul and Siobhan. 12.875Km and 710m ascent.

Clandeboye Way

Another perfect day for our walk from Helens Bay railway station along Clandeboye Avenue and, for some, on to Helen's Tower, past the leadmines in Whitespots Country Park, finishing at the Somme Centre. From there it was only a short wait for the bus that brought us back to Bangor Station and the 3:25pm train. A perfect location for a delightful autumnal walk on a blustery day. 12.5Km and 145m ascent.

Helen's Tower: 2011 to 2022

Despite the high winds a good time was had by all.

Leitrim Lodge to Castle Bog and Yellow Water

Another perfect day for our walk from Leitrim Lodge up to the Castle Bog (beside Pierces Castle) and back via the Yellow River and Ulster Way. 10Km and 350m climb - a great day out.
