Another perfect day at Gosford for a great walk round the forest park followed by a fabulous selection of soups. Well done to everyone who contributed. The amount raised for the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland charity and Newry Hospice currently exceeds £1,000.

Another perfect day at Kilbroney for a great walk to Ballyedmond Wood.
Another perfect day may be a bit of a cliché but it accurately described the weather for our autumnal walk up to the Giant's Ring, back through Edenderry and along the Lagan towpath for lunch at Shaw's Bridge followed by refreshments and good craic at the Lock Keepers Cottage. What could be more perfect?
Herbie and Barry led their group up on to the misty summit of Bearnagh for lunch. A great team effort.
Mike led his group up the Glen River and on to the Granite Trail, Millstone, and Crossone before making the summit of Donard in the clouds, returning via Thomas's Mountain and Donard Forest. Another great day.

Cedars Walkers enjoyed our walk on Cave Hill including a visit to a very windy McCart's Fort where we had fantastic views over a slightly misty Belfast. We finished off with lunch on the terrace at Belfast Castle. The castle was started in 1862 by the third Marquis of Donegall, a descendant of the Chichester family. Built in his deerpark and designed by architect John Lanyon in the popular Scottish baronial style the castle not surprisingly ran over the original budget of £11,000. Fortunately the marquis was able to call on his son-in-law, Lord Ashley, heir to the title of Earl of Shaftesbury, for additional funds ensuring that work could be completed by 1870. We finished our lunch just as the rain arrived - another perfect day. It was great to get back to using the minibus.
Another perfect day?
