Another perfect day

Keep safe, keep well, keep walking.

Gary organised a superb treasure hunt in Lurgan Park and through the streets of Lurgan helping work up our appetites for Christmas Lunch at Lurgan Golf Club. Contrary to expectations, the weather stayed dry until we were all tucking into lunch indoors. A great time was had by all. We look forward to the next one.

Meelmore
A good fun walk led by Herbie - it even included some island hopping.
Robbers Table
Apparently the sun always shines in County Tyrone.
Loughgall
Loughgall
Some craic at Loughgall while we waited on the rest of the walkers to find their way back.
Benburb

Benburb Priory was the familiar backdrop to one of Cedar’s walks. The paths through the forest were carpeted in autumn leaves, sometimes slippery. But walkers escaped any heavy rain, bar the odd enormous droplet falling from the trees! Lunch was enjoyed in the Stables Coffee Shop which perfectly finished off another great walk. Thanks to Ruth for leading.

Drinahilly
Herbie led another great walk in the hills.
Kilbroney
Weather was kinder than expected. Strong south easterly winds and very poor visibility made the little nook we found for lunch all the nicer, and the walk out was as challenging as the old cardiac hill route at start. But rain and wind only added to the character of the walk. So another perfect day. Thanks Alison.
Peatlands
Rain! What rain? Despite a rather pessimistic weather forecast we set off for a 9.6Km hike round Peatlands and were rewarded with dry weather all the way until we sat down for lunch when a sudden downpour drove us back to our cars. Nevertheless we had a great morning's walk. Peatlands may not have the greatest views but it is very comfortable underfoot.
Murlough
Forcast was for some showers but instead we had a beautiful dry crisp day for our walk at Murlough National Nature Reserve. We even had the occasional sighting of the sun. Another perfect day. Thanks Ruth.
