Another perfect day

Keep safe, keep well, keep walking.

Another perfect day for our short autumnal walk at Loughgall followed by fun and games in the playground.

Some craic at Loughgall while we waited on the rest of the walkers to find their way back.
Benburb

Benburb Priory was the familiar backdrop to one of Cedar’s walks. The paths through the forest were carpeted in autumn leaves, sometimes slippery. But walkers escaped any heavy rain, bar the odd enormous droplet falling from the trees! Lunch was enjoyed in the Stables Coffee Shop which perfectly finished off another great walk. Thanks to Ruth for leading.

Leitrim Lodge

Another perfect day for Shirley's walk from Leitrim Lodge to Rocky, Tornamrock, Pierces Castle and Yellow Water before returning along the Ulster Way.

Pigeon Rock

Another perfect day for a dander in the Mournes to discover Pigeon's twin peaks and its erotic erratic.

Six Cedars Walkers met up with Pudsey and others when they joined Connor Phillips of Radio Ulster for his three-legged stroll round Scarva and along the towpath on 4th November. A great time was had by all.
Bearnagh
Nice day in the hills round Bearnagh and over Meelmore with a bit of route variation and a bracing blast from a sou'wester.

Yellow Water and Red Bog

Nine intrepid walkers climbed up alongside Yellow Water to an atmospheric Red Bog, taking a peek at the track leading up to Slievemeel (for another day) before returning to Yellow Water picnic area through Rostrevor Forest. 8.7Km and 290m ascent. Another perfect day.

Clandeboye Way

It was another perfect autumn day for walking along our traditional route from Helens Bay station, down the wooded Clandeboye Way followed by the Columban Way, past Helens Tower and the leadmines at Conlig to the Somme Centre. John ventured into the main concourse at Grand Central Station on the journey home to find a delightful piano competition underway.
